SUNNYVALE, Calif., September 27, 2007 -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced software enhancements for Juniper's Secure Access (SA) SSL VPN appliances. Juniper's market-leading SSL VPN appliances now provide support for a broader array of applications and platforms, enhanced granular access control, and flexible policy enforcement capabilities to meet the requirements of high-performance businesses. Through these enhancements, Juniper is providing customers with a single, open platform for secure remote access that delivers enterprise-class scalability, simplified usability and ongoing investment protection.

Expanded Application and Platform Support

Juniper Networks continues to remain at the forefront of supporting a wide array of new and evolving applications as they are released. The Juniper SSL VPN solution provides support for new applications across multiple devices through clientless, browser based access that is operating system independent. Juniper's enhanced SSL VPN appliances add support for Outlook Web Access 2007, SharePoint 2007 and the Office 2007 suite of applications. Comprehensive clientless support for the 2007 versions of these Microsoft applications can boost business productivity through the ubiquitous availability of these applications through any a web browser.

Enhanced Usability

Juniper's SSL VPN appliances increase support for mobile devices, including iPhone, Windows Mobile, and thin-client computing. Enhanced session reliability and persistence functionality enables users to roam seamlessly and securely while remotely accessing applications via mobile devices. Juniper has also added support for reservation-less, fixed-URL web conferencing via MySecureMeeting. This new feature allows the use of static, personalized secure meeting URLs, making it easier for users to join meetings and to remember meeting URLs.

Enhanced, Flexible Security Policy Enforcement

Juniper has added Trusted Network Connect (TNC) support on Host Checker, complementing the SSL VPN appliances' existing endpoint assessment capabilities through interoperability and deep integration with solutions that support the TNC standards. This support enables customers to leverage previous investments in endpoint security solutions for enhanced endpoint assessment. Newly added device certificate support enables enterprises to distinguish between corporate managed devices and unmanaged devices accessing the network.
